Cannot Apply Template to Screen "No Item Selected"

Hello, maybe i am doing sth. wrong. i designed a template and want to apply it to a screen. normally like in tutorial, i should be able to select the screen in the screen section and then choose from the dropdown in the properties section the template i want to apply. but there appears "no item selected"? can you help. i searched but cannot find sth.

ps: where can i find information on what the little symbols next to the screens in the screen section mean?

Hi,

In order to do this, you have to select the screen from the outline panel (below the properties panel). This way, the screen properties will be shown on the properties panel.

What is an Outline Panel? I can not get this to work - 03/15/2021. Here's a pic of my welcome screen with a Profile Template attached. I want this screen to have a Blank Template attached.

Nope - ignore below - I ended up modifying the template and NOT the screen. I'm so messed up.

I figured it out - You can NOT set a blank profile AFTER you have stuff on the screen. I had to move it off the screen, set the template and then add my stuff back on. That certainly makes it hard to apply a template after you have some stuff on the screen. I would call this a problem. Adjusting the template should NOT wipe out the content - although you may issue a warning to make sure that the user intends to add a template after artwork is on the screen.
